I'll get to the blog title later on in this blog entry. For now though, my day in London with Mena, and not even the amazingly shite train journeys spoiled it.

Mm, the train journeys. On both my train to London and the return journey back home, I had to stand up because there wasn't any seats. I'm pretty sure that there were seats reserved that nobody ever sat in, but there we go. A minor niggle. The Underground journey from Bank to Kings Cross wasn't much fun either. Hot, sweaty, and I got whacked in the back of the head twice by the doors Ah well, another minor niggle.

Now then, the good bits. There's lots of them. I met Mena at Kings Cross, and from there we went to Cutty Sark, where her Uni is, so we could get some dinner at her SU bar, and so that I could meet her mates. Well, I've already met Naj, but I hadn't met Ben or Sobrun, though I have now They were cool, and I wouldn't argue against meeting up with them again sometime.

After eating dinner, we had a wander in a park (think it's Greenwich Park, and if it's not, it's what I'm gonna name it ) We were gonna go up to the observatory, but it looked quite busy due to kids being off, so we just sat on a bench and cuddled for about 25 minutes. And watched a dog, who was barking at the lake for some reason. Its owner went up to it, and basically knocked it into the lake (well, she was prodding it, it just jumped in), and yeah, that was quite amusing. Then, when it got out, it went back to the edge and started barking again. I was hoping it'd jump back in, but it unfortunately didn't

Around 2ish, we decided to take the DLR to Canary Wharf and have a stroll around, just trying to waste some time before going to watch Silent Hill. And, to be brutally honest, I thought it sucked. I don't think it's meant to be a place for shops, but the shops that were there were small. I did manage to buy The Silent Hill Collection from Game, though, which is cool. Yeah, I could've got it from Game here, but I dunno if we've got any in stock. We didn't get any in yesterday, and the Game website doesn't even have it listed on their website at all, so I thought I may as well buy it whilst I was there. But yeah, other than that, Canary Wharf did feel like a waste of time, though that could be a good thing, depending on how you look at it

Right then, the Silent Hill film. I personally reckon it's the best game-to-film adaption so far, which is where the blog title comes from. I thought Doom was great, but Silent Hill is better. It's one of the few films that actually takes a note from the source material. All of the monsters have been used in at least one of the games, and the storyline, albeit original, takes parts from Silent Hill 1-3. All in all, I highly recommend it. I may be a tad biased when it comes to Silent Hill, but if you've got a fiver to spend and a couple of hours to burn, you can't go wrong.

And that's about it, really. I'm missing Mena already, however we are meeting again on Tuesday. Today was definately the best of my three visits to London, though. Best by..oo..lots ^_^

I love you Mena. Lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots AND LOTS!!!!!!!!!!! xxx xxx
